Antoine "DOC" Judkins
"Antoine "DOC" Judkins has been a performer for
most of his life. Born and raised in Bronx, where as a
teenager began developing his craft unknowingly through the
culture of HIP-HOP. The Four Elements (Djing, Mceeing,
Dancing, Graffitti) introduced him to different forms of
expression. He found his "niche" one day,
watching a friend's cousin from Philadelphia perform a series of
movements that included a "Backslide"
(moonwalk). He was told the dance was called "The
Electric BoogaLoo". A week later, he turned on T.V.
to discover a dance show called "Soul Train", where
some of the dancers did these same moves. He was drawn to
the dance's freedom of expression through creative
improvisation. Soontherafter, he began his quest to study
all forms of movement, ranging from Modern Dance to Martial
Arts. His influences include The Electric BoogaLoos, The
Lockers, and The Legendary Nicholas Bros. He has toured
the world as a dancer, and was an original cast member of the
1st Hip-Hop musical "Jam On The Groove". Doc has
performed with 'NSync on the 1999 MTV Music Awards, and has
appeared several music videos. He has worked with other
artists such as Joe, Dru Hill, N'dea Davenport, and Mya to name
a few. Doc is currently working in music production to
broaden his artistic horizons, and cited dancing as a ritual
that "nourishes the soul"......"
